Geelong has an urgent care centre open 7 days per week – Priority Primary Care Centre can be contacted on 03 4206 7366. We use the National Home Doctor Service for after-hours medical attention, who can be contacted on 137 425.
Our Practice has a system in place for the follow-up and review of clinically significant test results. Our practice uses HotDoc for most reminder and review appointments. For non-urgent results, please book a follow-up appointment with your GP.
Patients requiring a repeat prescription will need to book an appointment with your doctor.
Our practice is committed to preventative care. We use HotDoc to issue you with a reminder notice by SMS or letter offering you preventative services appropriate to your care. Please let us know if you do not wish to be a part of this system.
The doctors and nurses at East Geelong Medical Centre perform childhood immunisations, flu vaccinations and travel vaccinations.
Make an appointment with your GP to discuss your travel plans and get the required vaccinations for your destinations. Please make sure you book your appointment at least a month before you leave to make sure you are covered by the vaccine by the time you leave.
Your doctor encourages patients with English language difficulties to utilise the Translating & Interpreting Service National by phoning 131 450. Reception can organise this service for you.

Patients 65 years and older who are not eligible for NDIS can book through the Dept of Health and Aged Care’s National Sign Language Program, operated by Deaf Connect.

An eHealth record is an electronic summary of your health records. You and your healthcare providers can access information such as medications, test results, discharge summaries, allergies, and immunisations online whenever you need it, from wherever you are. In addition, you can view your own healthcare information, enter personal information and keep notes for your own use.
You can ask your doctor to upload a health summary to your record.

Please Note: East Geelong Medical Centre is a private clinic. Payment is made on the day of consultation. We can submit your Medicare claim on your behalf. If you have your bank account details registered with Medicare, your rebate usually goes into your account within 24-48 hours.
